Client Background

Our client is a growing insurance brokerage firm specializing in connecting customers with Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement, and Prescription Drug Plans. The company operates with distributed teams across the United States and relies on effective remote collaboration to execute data-driven marketing strategies. Their business model depends on targeted marketing campaigns and personalized customer communications to drive growth in the competitive insurance marketplace.

Client Requirements

The client required an experienced Salesforce Marketing Cloud developer with specific time overlap requirements between the US and Indian time zones. The role required expertise in designing and implementing sophisticated marketing automation solutions, as well as building dynamic, customer-facing CloudPages applications, practical experience with Journey Builder, and the ability to translate complex marketing requirements into technical solutions. While also working effectively in a cross-cultural distributed team environment.

Specific technical requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud development and implementation
  • Deep expertise in CloudPages development using AMPScript, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for creating dynamic user experiences
  • Advanced journey orchestration skills using Journey Builder and Automation Studio
  • Proven experience with audience segmentation based on behavioral, transactional, and demographic data
  • Strong technical foundation in email development with responsive HTML and CSS
  • Cross-cultural remote collaboration proficiency 
  • Coping with US-India distributed team environments
  • Analytical capabilities for monitoring performance metrics and optimizing campaign effectiveness

Team integration Requirements

The developer was required to maintain a 4-hour daily overlap with Eastern Time business hours (7:30 PM – 11:30 PM IST, corresponding to 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM ET) for real-time collaboration with the US marketing team. 

The developers needed to integrate fully with the client’s marketing team while collaborating effectively for design and data analytics in a cross-cultural remote setting, through regular video conferences, progress updates, and digital collaboration tools.
